Tonight, I’m logging off to protest against Tumblr’s new guidelines. This website is a mess; artists, blogs, innocent reblogs etc. are being marked as explicit by a bot that apparently has no idea what it’s doing. Anything that the staff considers explicit has been entirely removed to make this website “children friendly”. Apparently, safe search, age confirmation and blocking tags isn’t enough anymore. In a time like 2018, soon 2019, I think it’s absolutely disgusting and inhuman to take the freedom of speech from your users, and worst of all; not care enough to hear their voices. I’ve seen that the Tumblr staff doesn’t care enough to cooperate with us. Therefore, I am joining the Log Off Protest on the 17th of December.
I promise I’ll check in on the 18th of December to see how you all are doing <3 Stay strong!!
i’m replaying 358/2 days, and i can’t believe the literal plot of this game is the story of how one man tries to save his marriage and protect his two recently adopted teenaged kids, and then he loses all of them
Roxas is in my opinion the best character in Kingdom Hearts
Let me start by explaining my bias: 358/2 days was the very first Kingdom Hearts game I played. I didn’t have a playstation, only a ds. It was a gift from my aunt on Christmas day and I started playing it immediately. I spent 15 days trying to beat the fucking Ruler of the Sky. I knew jack about any of the rest of the Kingdom Hearts universe. Sora? Who’s that? Zero clue.
That said, I played 358 on a blank slate just like Roxas. I didnt know who Sora was either or who this Riku person was. I played as Roxas who wanted to stay with his friends and simply do his job. Roxas just wanted things to be simple, to merely exist, and this was a luxury never afforded to him.
In Re:Coded Roxas was chosen to test whether data Sora could accept hurt and face the pain of those around him. In my opinion that task was bequeathed to no better person. Roxas lived wanting to stay by the people he loved (whether he knew what love was) and that was so haplessly torn from him, violently in the case of Xion.
It is evident as you play on that Sora took on some of the hurt that Roxas bore. When Sora departs from Twilight Town for the first time he says goodbye to Hayner, Pence, and Olette and sheds a single tear, not even knowing where its coming from. Whether Hayner, Pence, and Olette were mere illusions like the ones Data Sora faced at Castle Oblivion in Re:Coded is ultimately irrelevant. The hurt exists regardless of illusions. And even if memories are lost the pain is still there.
Roxas, in my opinion, made the ultimate sacrifice. He gave up himself while not understanding the cause he was dying for. He left the Organization with Axel, his single remaining friend, calling for him, driven by the all encompassing urge to destroy Kingdom Hearts whether or not he knew what or who he was fighting for anymore.
Roxas simply wanted a friend, to be loved, and he lived not knowing he would never have what he wanted.
i thought this post was a little controversial and would make all the homeschooled kids on here angry so im not going to post it
Home schooled is two words. Were you home schooled?
thanks but i did in fact see the giant swiggly red line but made the determination that i am a trendsetter in the modern english language and can therefore do what i please when i please on my blogosphere
As a homeschooler with a 3.6 GPA ..this pisses me off.
if you would’ve helped your mom with the chores a bit more she would have bumped that up to 3.8
